Residency Towers

Initial Residency Towers, T Nagar planned to upgrade to Smart glass. During our assessment, we advised against laminated glass due to potential future service issues. We then suggested stick-on smart film, but this posed concerns regarding maintenance and the risk of guest exposure, leading to possible damage and scratches. To resolve this, we proposed a sandwich glass solution: the smart film is applied to glass 1, then protected by a second glass layer. This approach safeguards the film and reduces maintenance risks. The project team approved this solution, and we have successfully implemented it.

Indian Coast Guard – Chennai

The Coast Guard oPice facing Marina Beach needed a solution for their glass façade that preserved natural light and the view, without permanent blockage. Traditional blinds or curtains were unsuitable, and even smart blinds posed operational delays. Edge Glass provided a blackout film that instantly switches between transparent and black, allowing easy privacy control while maintaining the view. The Commander approved the mock-up, and the project was successfully executed, marking it as a state-of-the-art installation.

Howrah - New Delhi Rajdhani Express

During COVID-19, curtains were removed from AC train coaches, leading to privacy concerns, especially in First AC. The Eastern Railway CTO asked us for a solution. We worked with teams in Kolkata and installed a system where each window had its own switch, connected to a controller near the DB unit. Turning the switch oP made the glass opaque, ensuring privacy. This was implemented on the Howrah–New Delhi Rajdhani Express as a state-of-the-art project.

Residential Project – Trivandrum, Kerala

In a prestigious residential project at Trivandrum, Kerala, the architect had designed the living and dining areas as a seamless, open space with no partitions. As the interiors neared completion, the client expressed concerns regarding privacy, particularly for family members during meals when guests were seated in the living area. Changing the original design was not preferred by the architect. Our team was approached for a solution, and we introduced an automatic sliding glass panel system. All glass panels could park at one end, enabling the family to enjoy an expansive living and dining area when no guests were present. When guests arrived, the movable wall could be activated, and the integrated smart film would turn opaque, transforming the dining area into a private space. This innovation was recognised as another state-of-the-art project in our portfolio.
